What we do

For individuals

Join our community

CxB is completely free to join for board members and involves as much or as little commitment as you like.

You'll be invited to attend our Chatham House webinars, where you can learn from peers and share insights, in confidence and free from commercial pressure. We'll provide early opportunities for you to learn about new regulations and guidance affecting your organisation and share useful resources and insights for board directors.

We'll also invite you to give your views and take part in research. This will help us to support you better, and to develop useful new resources for boards. We work with government, regulators and other groups that support boards to do this.

CxB is primarily for board directors, both executive and non-executive, but cyber and governance professionals who work with boards are also welcome to join.

For boards

CxB works with boards at every stage of cyber governance maturity, across all sectors and sizes. We offer discounts to non-profit organisations. To discuss what we offer or make a booking, please contact us.

Board briefing

A 30-minute presentation on the state of play in cyber security, key risks, regulatory developments and priorities for your board, delivered by an experienced non-executive director and cyber governance expert.

Interactive training workshop

This action-oriented cyber governance workshop will familiarise your board with the Cyber Governance Code of Practice, and help you put it into practice in your organisation.

Who should attend: Your whole board, including both executives and non-executives who normally attend board meetings. At a minimum we would suggest the Chair, CEO, and all members of your risk committee.

What you get: The workshop is delivered by an experienced non-executive director and focuses on board-level governance rather than operational details. It's highly interactive, with all participants involved in discussion and action planning. We support you to carry out an assessment of your board’s current cyber governance maturity, providing the basis for a tailored action plan which we will work through during the session.

Session length: 90 minutes, plus some brief (25 minutes) preparatory work

Where: Online, or face to face at your office (an additional fee may apply)

Assured cyber governance maturity assessment

CxB will work with you to assess your board's maturity against the Cyber Governance Code of Practice, using our maturity assessment tool, and including an independent review of evidence. You'll receive a full report, including recommended actions where indicated, and if the board has met a given standard of maturity against the Code we can also provide a letter of confirmation.

Cyber governance review

Work with an experienced NED and cyber governance consultant on a deep dive into your board's overall cyber governance effectiveness, looking at structures, relationships and approaches to risk oversight. Exploring all perspectives with expertise and tact, we support you to develop a constructive way forward that's aligned to your strategy and corporate goals.

This review is particularly suited to more mature organisations, companies in regulated sectors, and those recovering from a cyber breach.
