About the event

As a board member, you may know that cyber insurance has a role in managing your organisation's risk. But the business impacts of cyber breaches are evolving quickly, and it's important for boards to understand where and how insurance fits in.

We're excited to be joined by Daniel Woods, a leading authority in cyber insurance and cyber risk economics, to talk to us about what is actually driving cyber losses for UK organisations, what boards need to know about insurance, and which investments truly make a difference to resilience.

This session is designed for non-executive and executive board members, although it may also be of interest to those who support boards. The discussion will be held under Chatham House rules.

Speakers: The CxB team with Daniel Woods

Daniel is a Lecturer in Cyber Security at the University of Edinburgh, and Head of Emerging Risk at Coalition, a cyber insurance and security services provider. He received his PhD titled “The Economics of Cyber Risk Transfer” in 2019 from the University of Oxford.
